Complaints about the oil companies are nothing new.  Consider this:

“Those robbing b******s … you know those oil companies … I don’t mind anybody getting away with some, but what they get away with.”

In his book An Unfinished Life, Robert Dallek says that complaint arose from a fight with oil and gas lobbyists.  It was uttered by President John F. Kennedy more than 40 years ago.
