Community Update
Hello All!
It’s been awhile since we’ve been online and I’m happy to say that as part of our new website design, we now have “blog-ability,” which is great!
As we head into this Thanksgiving Week and weekend, we’re reminded each day that there are others less fortunate who need help, so let’s all pitch in as a community and do what we can.
If you come across any special efforts or volunteer opportunities, please let us know!

I HAVE NOTICED THE COST OF FLU SHOTS , BOTH H1N1 AND REGULAR SHOTS, IS NEVER PUBLISHED. IS THERE A COST FOR THESE SHOTS. I GOT MY REGULAR FLU SHOT AT
WALMART, 86TH AND MICHIGAN ROAD. IT IS BEING BROADCAST THERE MAY BE A SHORTAGE
OF VACINE. WHY DID WALMART HAVE THE VACCINE AND PUBLIC HEALTH AND LOCAL
GOVERNMENTS DIDN’T. THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY
Mr. Ford,
There are probably several reasons why certain places have the regular flu vaccine, like Wal-Mart, and others do not have the H1N1. The reasons probably vary according to the place delivering the vaccine.
As for why some prices are not always published, again, that varies according to who is administering the vaccine. Some places are able to offer it at a lesser price than others because of supplemental funding.
Hopefully, that helps.
