SNOW TOTALS: Chesterfiled / Anderson: .5″
Atlanta: 1″-2″ not all staying accumulated
Lebanon: 1.5″
Zionsville: .5″
Carmel: .5″
THIS MORNING: A good dose of snow bursts mixed with some rain in places. Roads are slick in many areas. Expect some minor accumulations, then some melting, as temperatures are at or above freezing in most locations.
REST OF TODAY: Warmer southerly winds will move into central Indiana. This should allow for more rain to mix in and melt some of the snow that is falling this morning. A dry slot should move in later this afternoon and slow down activity. Accumulations should be 1″-3″ north and northwest of Indianapolis, 1″ or less in the metro area.
TONIGHT: Things should change to all snow as colder air arrives on the back side of this system. The heavy snow bands should set up NW of the city again and those places could have several inches of snow on the ground. The morning commute could be messy as we could see snow accumulating in Indianapolis.
MONDAY: Snow will continue, with some additional accumulations of up to several inches possible before winding down late tomorrow night.
