Some Wintry Precipitation Begins

December 23rd, 2008 at 12:38 pm by Ken Brewer under Weather

There have been spotty reports of some of the light snow and freezing rain reaching the ground.  The lower levels of the atmosphere continue to see moisture increase, so it should be a matter of a few hours before more organized precipitation begins.  As temperatures increase, we will see more of a changeover to freezing rain later this afternoon.

A reminder…on our weather page section of wishtv.com we have a tab where you can click to see our Local Weather Station (LWS)  if you are unable to get it on your television.  We will break in with live coverage periodically as well as post updates here.

There is freezing rain on the roads around Avon.
There have been numerous accidents already.
