Wind Chill Warning

January 14th, 2009 at 10:28 pm by Angela Buchman under Weather

A wind chill warning is in effect for areas along and north of I-70 through Friday afternoon.  Forecast lows are in the range of -4 to 4 early Thursday.  High temperatures on Thursday afternoon will not make it out of the single digits.

Winds will be NW 10-25 mph and strong enough for some blowing and drifting snow.  The arcitc air and the gusty winds will bring wind chills well below zero.  Dangerously low wind chills -10 to -25 are possible through mid-day Friday.

From the numbers, it is easy to see there will not be any relief from the arctic blast until the weekend.
