What an awesome site it was for me after the NFC Championship game, watching former Colts running back Edgerrin James celebrate. Edge and the Cardinals were heading to Super Bowl 43. Edge was one of my favorite players to cover during his time here in Indy. He was always professional, played hard and gave back to the community — and ALWAYS a GREAT sound bite (aka…interview).

When the Colts went to the Super Bowl in 2007, one guy I really thought about was Edgerrin. How was he feeling? How tough was it for him to deal with seeing a team he helped build go to the big game and eventually win it? He probably will never admit it…but you know it must have been tough for him.

But what a difference two years can make. And that’s what I love about life. Who would have thought that two years later the Edge would have the own opportunity to win his own ring?

Yes, Mr. Irsay, as classy as he is, did give Edge a ring from Super Bowl 43. But there’s nothing like having one that you were a part of that day.
