TODAY: Warmer southerly winds will surge into the state today and push highs back into the upper 60’s to lower 70’s.  The winds will pick up in advance of the cold front, which should arrive overnight tonight.

WIND ADVISORY THIS AFTERNOON TONIGHT: Western counties have a Wind Advisory in effect from 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm.  This does not include the metro area at this time.

Otherwise the biggest threat for organized severe weather will be well west of the state.  The system should weaken a bit, so rainfall totals will be lighter here vs. other parts of the Midwest.

TONIGHT: The cold front will pass through overnight, so expect rain and thunderstorms overnight.  Some may contain some gusty winds, but as of this morning, no organized severe weather is expected.

WEDNESDAY: Cooler air will return, but all-in-all, not oo bad.  Highs will reach the upper 50’s to around 60.
