A Mild Start To The Week

July 13th, 2009 at 3:57 pm by Angela Buchman under Weather

This is typically the hottest time of the year, but highs today are only in the lower 80s and a few degrees cooler than the average.  A northern area of high pressure is the reason for the sunshine and the mild weather pattern.

Skies remain mostly clear overnight, as temperatures drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s.  Tuesday will be a bit warmer and a bit more humid.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday.

The storms that Forecast 8 will track to our west on Tuesday will arrive here on Wednesday.  If  the complex of storms holds together, there will be a few storms early on Wednesday.  The cold front will also trigger scattered storms with afternoon heating and it will be warmer, with highs in the upper 80s.  There is a chance for a strong/severe storm.
