“Utterly Ridiculous”

I just made a trip to the City County Building where you can pick up all the “Greg Ballard is quitting” rumors you can handle.
Ballard spokesman Robert Vane calls them “utterly ridiculous.” He says the Democrats who populate the building are trying to damage the Mayor’s credibility with no basis in fact.

If the RUMOR of Ballard quitting halfway through his term is an attempt to damage his credibility, what about someone who ACTUALLY quits, like Sarah Palin? How is her credibility?
Trust me when I tell you, if “Ballard is quitting” rumors are being circulated, it’s by Republicans seeking a coup. The best thing that can happen to the Marion County Democratic Party is having Greg Ballard run for re-election. Find somebody talking up Mark Miles, Carl Brizzi, or Murray Clark as Ballard’s successor, and it’s even money you’ll find somebody spreading the rumor that Ballard is stepping down.
Doesn’t his actual job performance damage his credibility all on its own?
