Baron Hill Targeted

August 6th, 2009 at 12:30 pm by Jim Shella under Jim Shella's Political Blog

The Republican National Committee began running radio ads in Congressman Baron Hill’s district today.  They accuse Hill of flip-flopping on the health care reform bill.

In reality, Hill said he was against the bill until a compromise (that he sought) was reached.  Then he voted yes.  He got what he wanted.

It tells me the ad may just be an indicator that the Democratic Hill will be a target of the GOP again in the 2010 election.  At the very least, his district is the most likely target in Indiana.

Trustee Douglas has not been in the office since April. He fell down the steps and he has not been at the trustee’s office all summer. They have been lying the whole time

Has there been any noise about a challenger for Joe Donnelly (IN-2)? I keep hearing that it may be State Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Jimtown), but I have not heard any news of her working to make a name for herself in the 2nd District or raise money. Someone should be doing both before 2010 if they hope to do better than Luke Puckett in ‘08.
