Hit 90º in Indianapolis
This afternoon, we hit the 90º mark for only the 6th time this summer – at the Indianapolis International Airport. Lafayette, Kokomo, and Terre Haute were other cities that were in the lower 90s this afernoon.
Conditions were dry here across the Ohio River Valley and through most of the Mid-Atlantic states. A huge area of high pressure just to our south, helped keep us dry. The storms are popping up around the area of high pressure.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies for tonight and mainly dry tonight, however a spotty shower or two is possible by Daybreak. It will stay sticky and muggy overnight with lows in the mid 70s.
MONDAY: As a “cool” front approaches Monday, this will help to trigger scattered showers and storms by Monday afternoon. Majority of these storms will pop-up with the heating of the day. Once again our highs will stay in the upper 80s, so it will still be hot. Some of these storms could be strong producing damaging winds and hail, the strong storms look to stay north of the Metro.
