Storms intensifying…

In the Metro area storms are strengthening. More small hail and strong winds are expected.

At 3:00 I was sitting at my son’s house driveway waiting for the bus to drop off a grandchild. This is south of Thompson Rd and west of Franklin Rd on the Southeast side of town. My vehicle was facing North. For some reason I lookes towards the southwest and it looked like smoke coming up over some houses and I realized it was clouds, and they were rolling and was slowly starting to rotate. I started to loose sight of them and didn’t want to follow because of waiting for the child and I also had another one in the car with me. At that point I probably should have gone into the house, but I thought since the formation was past I was ok. It started to hail very lightly but the wind and the rain and lightning were scary! It came down so hard and it was sideway. I made sure we were all seat belted in and prayed. It wouldn’t have been safe to try to get the baby out of her carseat and get into the house at that point. It was flooding the street. It then started to slow down and my grandaughter’s bus pulled up. She was crying and said the kids on the bus were crying. As I drove out of the addition, the sky was blue with puffy white clouds. I’m thinking this was probably more than just a thunderstorm. Has anyone else reported this?
