Foggy Morning…A Bit Warmer Weather Today

August 25th, 2009 at 5:28 am by Ken Brewer under Weather

THIS MORNING: Patchy dense fog is possible this morning in some places, so you might want to give yourself a little extra time as you head out.

REST OF TODAY: A ridge of high pressure in the upper-levels of the atmosphere is allowing for lots of sunshine and warmer air to build back into the state.  Highs hit the upper 70’s yesterday, and we should see numbers hit the mid 80’s for most places today.  Low-level high pressure in Ohio will send southerly winds in our direction.  This will bump up our humidity a bit over the next several days.

TONIGHT: Lows tonight will only drop into the mid 60’s, as some warmer, more humid air will continue to creep in.

WEDNESDAY: Warmer air will continue to slip into the state out in advance of a cold front which will be our next weather-maker.  Rain chances should hold off until the evening hours, and they will be isolated.
