State GOP Chairman Eric Holcomb wants Republican Presidential candidates to campaign here.  He sent out invitations today.

“A competitive nominating process increases the chances that Indiana may play a pivotal role in determining our Republican Party nominee, just like the role Indiana Democrats played in 2008,” says Holcomb.  The invitations were sent to Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, Mr. Herman Cain, Speaker Newt Gingrich, Governor Jon Huntsman, Governor Gary Johnson, Congressman Ron Paul, Governor Tim Pawlenty, Governor Mitt Romney and Senator Rick Santorum.

In 2008 John McCain made just two Indiana campaign stops while Barack Obama made 48.
