Here is the press release I recieved from INDOT with information about lanes, ramps and flow for this weekend at the IMS!
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—The Indiana Department of Transportation is providing at least three lanes in each direction on Interstate 465 through Accelerate 465 construction zones on the city’s west side for race goers this weekend.  U.S. Highway 136 west of the track will have one eastbound and one westbound lane open.

INDOT plans to open the I-465 southbound ramp to Sam Jones Expressway westbound near the airport Friday afternoon, but advises motorists to plan ahead to circumvent other ramps remaining closed by ongoing construction.  Most significant is the I-465 southbound ramp to Crawfordsville Road (eastbound).  Motorists should exit at 38th Street or 10th Street for access to Speedway parking.

Other west side ramp closures are:
  • I-465 northbound to I-74 westbound
  • I-465 northbound to Sam Jones Expressway
  • I-465 southbound ramp to I-70 eastbound

All I-465 west side ramps are open at U.S. 40/Washington Street, U.S. 36/Rockville Road and 10th Street.

Friday night, two right southbound lanes of I-465 will close at 9 p.m. allowing workers to set beams for the I-70 eastbound bridge structure.  After 10 p.m., there will be 20-minute traffic stoppages while individual beams are hoisted over the roadway.  All restrictions will be lifted by 6 a.m.
