Frosty Night, Milder Easter Weekend

April 6th, 2012 at 5:23 pm by under Weather

FROST ADVISORY / FREEZE WARNING TONIGHT:  Most of central Indiana has a Frost Advisory tonight, while eastern Indiana has a Freeze Warning in place overnight, so protect plants one more night and you may have to do some scraping of cars left outside if you need to be out early Saturday morning. Lows will drop into the mid 30s across most of central Indiana.

THIS EVENING:  If you are heading out this evening, it will be clear and it will cool down from the 50s and the 40s.

SATURDAY:  Expect sunshine and milder air.  Highs will reach back into the mid 60s!

SATURDAY NIGHT:  A week cold front will slide through the state.  We could see some spotty sprinkles or light showers that may last into Sunrise Services Easter Sunday morning.

EASTER SUNDAY:  Sprinkles will quickly move out and Easter Sunday looks nice with highs again in the mid 60s.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:  Colder air will return for the first half of next week, then it will improve by late in the week.  There could be additional areas of frost and freeze Tuesday and Wednesday morning.  After a few spotty showers Monday, it should stay dry until late next week.
