Friday Forecast – Risk For Severe Storms
Skies will be partly cloudy overnight, with lows in the 60s. Highs on Friday will be in the 80s, but the bigger story for Friday is the chance for storms. Scattered storms are in the Friday forecast and there is a slight risk for severe weather. We will keep you updated and track the storms that develop.
The weather system that will bring storm chances to central Indiana on Friday will be close enough for a few showers or storms this weekend, but there will be more dry weather than wet weather.
The Mini Marathon is Saturday morning in downtown Indianapolis and heat will be an issue. A weather alert has been issued for the heat, as temperatures will be in the upper 60s to start the race but nearing 80 by noon.
