Scattered Storms Tonight, and for Father’s Day

Some of the areas could see some minor flooding from slow-moving storms with heavy downpours. Also watch for frequent lightning, gusty wind, and some small hail. Take an umbrella with you in the metro area just in case, but odds are, you won’t need it.
OVERNIGHT: Scattered thunderstorms are possible overnight. Otherwise it will be warm and humid with lows in the low 70s.
FATHER’S DAY: It looks like now the highest chances of scattered thunderstorms will be early in the day, then chances should go down during the afternoon. It will be a touch cooler, but still humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
8-DAY FORECAST: Hot and dry weather will return for the first half of the workweek, with highs back into the 90s. Rain chances return Thursday and Friday. This will cool things off a bit briefly next Saturday. Heat and rain chances return now it looks like next Sunday.
