The high in Indianapolis on Tuesday was 93 degrees.  93 is the hottest of the season and we hit it Tuesday and last Saturday.  94 degrees is in the forecast for Wednesday.  That will be the hottest of the season and the ninth 90 degree day.  We average eighteen 90 degree days.  For parts of central Indiana the heat wave will break on Thursday, with a few more clouds and the chance for rain.  Forecast highs are in the upper 80s and lower 90s on Thursday.  The heat wave will break for all of central Indiana on Friday, with highs in the 80s.  The chance for rain is in the Thursday forecast.  With only .05″ of rain this month, we need the rain.  This will not be the kind of rain we need to help that deficit.  Scattered showers and storms are possible and we will keep you updated on the timing and rainfall potential.
