It is another hot and dry afternoon, with high temperatures in the lower and middle 90s.  There is a change on the way.  Right now there is a line of showers and storms developing across Minnesota and Iowa.  This weather system is moving our way.  The rain won’t get here tonight, but there are rain chances on Thursday.  Skies will be clear overnight, with lows near 70.  The best chance for rain will be later in the day on Thursday, so there will be enough time for high temperatures to reach 90 degrees.

It will be a dry start to Thursday, with the best chance for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon.  The storms will be spotty, so stay tuned and track the storms along with us tomorrow.  We need the rain.

The weather system bringing the rain chances on Thursday will move east on Friday.  The heat wave breaks on Friday, with highs in the 80s.  The weekend forecast is dry, with highs in the 80s on Saturday and near 90 on Sunday.
