Tracking Another Hot Day & Storm Chances

June 21st, 2012 at 5:24 am by under Colts Forecast, Weather

A line of thunderstorms is moving southeast through the plains states this morning.  The line will push closer to Indiana through the late morning.  During the late afternoon is when we expect the storms to arrive in central Indiana.  However, the latest forecast models show the rain breaking apart so not everyone will see the heavy rain.

Temperatures will remain hot today…highs in the lower 90s.  This evening stays mild with mostly dry conditions.  Overnight temps fall into the mid 60s.

Extended forecast:

Dry weather settles back in for the weekend.  The next chance for rain holds off until Monday and next Thursday.  Temperatures will swing a bit between above average and below average in the next 8 days (normal high: 84º).  Friday and Saturday will be in the mid 80s.  Sunday’s highs around 90º.  By next Tuesday, our highs will be in the cooler upper 70s.
