Hot and Dry

June 25th, 2012 at 5:37 pm by under Colts Forecast, Weather

It will be mild tonight, with clear skies and low temperatures in the 50s.  Tuesday will be the last mild day this week, with highs in the lower 80s.  90 degree heat returns on Wednesday.  Near 100º heat is in the forecast for Thursday and Friday.

The forecast is hot and dry.  The rain total is only .05″ in Indianapolis for the entire month of June.  This is the driest June since 1988.  June 1988 is the driest on record, with only .36″ that month.  We have a chance for rain on the last day of this month.  Scattered showers and storms are possible on Saturday.  We will keep you updated on that much needed chance for rain and the dangerous heat later this week.
