Already A Record Breaker
It is 102 degrees in Indianapolis and this breaks the record of 101 in 1934. An excessive heat warning and a red flag warning are in effect this afternoon. Temperatures near 100 degrees are in the Friday forecast. There is only a slight chance for a stray storm Friday – Sunday. There won’t be any relief from the heat. High temperatures will be in the range of 95-100 degrees this weekend.

It’s 104 here on Sargent Road in Lawrence Township right now, 4:16pm. Just took a photo of our thermometer which has proven to be accurate.
