The Latest Drought Conditions
According to drought data from Tuesday, the dry conditions have expanded. The latest drought map from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows a severe drought across most of Indiana. Rain stays out of the forecast through today and for much of tomorrow. Spotty rain is possible Friday, Saturday and Sunday but not enough to make a dent in the drought conditions.
Temperatures are already warm in the 80s across much of the state. We are on our way to highs between 100-105º. An Excessive Heat Warning, Red Flag Warning and Air Quality Alert are all in effect until this evening.
