Near Triple Digit Heat
The heat wave continues. There have been 7 days in a row at or above 90 degrees and 6 more are in the forecast. High temperatures will be near 100 degrees over the next several days, so there is an excessive heat warning in effect from 11am Wednesday through 8pm Saturday.
There is only a slight chance for a stray storm this evening. It will be warm and muggy overnight, with lows in the 70s. High temperatures for the Fourth of July through the start of the weekend will be in the range of 97-102 degrees. There is a slight chance for an afternoon storm just about each day, but most of the area will just be hot and dry. Any storms that do develop will be spotty and won’t bring any relief from the heat.
