More Mild Temps…Tracking A Wintry MixFebruary 12th, 2013 at 5:28 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Temperatures are in the lower 30s in northern Indiana…in the low to mid 40s elsewhere. Tonight our lows fall into the lower 30s. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 40s to the north, upper 30s to the south. This is opposite of the normal temperature spread due to a system moving through the southern half of the state.
The system is already affecting the southern half of the U.S. As it tracks eastward tonight, the clouds increase from south to north. Then a wintry mix moves in to areas south of I-70 by 5am Wednesday. The mix remains in the forecast until about noon. A dusting of snow is possible in the late morning for southern counties. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy.
Thursday, partly cloudy and mild highs in the mid 40s for any Valentine’s Day plans. Friday and Saturday some snow showers move into the state. Minor accumulation is expected at this time. Temperatures go from the lower 30s Friday to the mid 20s Saturday. Sunday, partly cloudy with highs around 30º.
