Warm and stormy before cooler temps arriveOctober 3rd, 2013 at 4:30 pm by Robb Ellis under Weather
Warm temperatures and humid air will remain in place through the rest of this week, allowing for showers and storms to continue. All of this comes to an end on Saturday as cooler temperatures push in from the northwest. The question remains of how strong storms will be on Saturday as the air masses clash.
Isolated showers and storms will be possible tonight, and temperatures will remain mild. Lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Chances for showers and storms will remain in the forecast for Friday, however they will likely be isolated in nature. Otherwise it will remain very warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
There will be a chance for isolated showers and storms through midday and into the afternoon, however a better chance develops in the evening as a cold front pushes through central Indiana. Highs ahead of this system will be in the low to mid 80s. Some of the storms with this frontal passage may be strong, though the threat of severe weather remain unclear at this time. Behind the system temperatures will cool and strong northwest winds usher in cooler and drier air.
A few showers may be lingering but the warm and humid air will be gone. Highs will likely be near 70 with lows in the upper 40s.
Though cooler and drier air will start the week, it appears a gradual warm up will ensue, and temperatures will return to above-normal values.
