Tracking Rain And StormsOctober 4th, 2013 at 6:01 am by Pamela Gardner under Weather
We have some light rain moving through the eastern half of central Indiana. In between the steady rain there is mist, and also a few sprinkles. Isolated storm chances stay in the forecast tonight and through this evening. On Saturday, scattered showers and storms move through with a slight risk of severe storms Saturday night as a cold front moves through. The biggest risk will be from damaging wind and large hail. The latest forecast models slow down this system, so Sunday may be a soggy day with lingering showers and t-showers.
Temperatures are in the mid to upper 60s. Today’s highs reach the mid to upper 80s with high humidity. The high school football games for The Zone look warm and soggy with hit or miss showers and storms. Keep an eye on radar and if you hear thunder at those games, that means there is lightning so take cover. Lows tonight dip into the upper 60s.
Highs for Saturday will be in the mid 80s again. The colder air moves in Sunday with high temps only in the upper 60s and lower 70s. The extended forecast looks great for next week with tons of sunshine and comfortable temperatures.
