More Storms Tonight…More Storms Sunday TooOctober 5th, 2013 at 7:06 pm by Pamela Gardner under Weather
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are still moving through the state. As these storms move through, we could get an isolated severe storm. For now, expect gusty wind, torrential rain, frequent lightning and small hail as these non-severe storms move through. There is a slight risk for severe storms later tonight still. The risk shifts farther east by Sunday.
Eastern Indiana has a Flash Flood Watch in effect 2am Sunday through Sunday night. Those areas could get 1″ to 2″ of rain in an hour with the heavy thunderstorms that move through. On Sunday we still have a chance for a few t-storms and showers off an on. Rain holds on Sunday into Monday and even for early Tuesday.
The colder air continues to filter in. Temps now are in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Tonight’s lows reach the lower 60s. Sunday’s highs only peak in the upper 60s. Monday is dramatically cooler with highs in the mid 50s. Warmer temps and sunshine will return for the later part of next week.
