Rep. DeLaney attacks Pence, Zoeller over Obamacare lawsuitOctober 9th, 2013 at 11:04 am by Jim Shella under Jim Shella's Political Blog
The state of Indiana and 15 school districts filed suit against the IRS Tuesday and Wednesday a state lawmaker called on Attorney General Greg Zoeller to withdraw the lawsuit.
Democrat Ed DeLaney says it amounts to an attempt to keep everyone in Indiana from getting health insurance. The Attorney General is challenging an interpretation of Obamacare that imposes an “employer mandate” on state and local governments.
Rep. DeLaney (D-Indianapolis) contends that it’s part of an ongoing effort by Governor Mike Pence to undermine the President’s health care plan.
“I feel like the governor is like a cheerleader who realizes he’s not in the game, he’s not in Washington anymore,” said DeLaney, “and now he wants to run out on the field, stop being a cheerleader, and become a player. Governor, the game is over.”
We will get reaction from Attorney General Zoeller this afternoon and bring it to you then.
