Warmer weekend and even warmer next weekOctober 25th, 2013 at 6:41 pm by Robb Ellis under Weather
Do you want some warmer weather? Or are you ok with temperatures remaining cool?
The truth is, temperatures this week have been 15 t0 20 degrees below the average. The average high for the end of October is 60-62 degrees. And it looks as though those temperatures will return this coming week.
Light southwest winds have started, meaning that while temperatures will drop steadily once the sun sets, the winds will make it a gradual decline. And we won’t be quite as cold as last night. Lows near freezing. Mostly clear skies will continue.
Southwest winds will help to move temperatures into the mid 50s tomorrow, despite the fact that we’ll see clouds on the increase most of the day. While some models have been hinting at showers during the afternoon, we expect most of the day to remain dry. However, an isolated shower couldn’t be ruled out. Lows in the mid 30s.
Sunshine returns but so do some cooler temperatures. In fact, Sunday will be very similar to Friday, with plenty of sunshine, but temperatures below average. Lows near 36.
A potent storm system is expected to move through for the middle of next week. Ahead of the system, temperatures will warm up, to near or above normal values. Some models are hinting at temperatures near 70. Rain and thunderstorms will accompany the warmer temperatures and as the system wraps up on Thursday, temperatures will begin to cool down.
