Do you want to see some snow? How about 60 degree temperatures? What about 16 degrees? There’s something for everyone in this week’s forecast, as the first week in December looks to be a wild one.
Rain showers will wrap up, but a few sprinkles are possible through early morning. Temperatures will hold steady in the 40s for most locations overnight. Clouds remain in place and that keeps temperatures mild. Lows in the low to mid 40s, with upper 30s to the north.
The warm days begin with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Clouds stay in place most of the day, with a few light sprinkles possible again throughout the day. Lows will be very warm, likely warmer than our average daytime high in December. Low around 50.
Wednesday:The system that brings all of our anticipated changes arrives on Wednesday. It will start with some sunshine and clouds, and very warm temperatures. Highs will reach the upper 50s to low 60s yet again before rain arrives and cold air begins to surge in. Lows in the 30s.
And the dramatic cool down begins! Temperatures will barely warm up on Thursday and could continue dropping throughout the day. Highs will likely be in the upper 30s, and may come around midnight as the cold air surges in. Rain showers will likely change over to snow on Thursday with lows dropping into the low 20s.
The cold air has arrived. Expect highs barely getting to freezing, with snow wrapping up on the back side of this system. Overnight lows will be extremely cold, into the mid 10s.
The cold air remains in place, with temperatures staying below freezing through the weekend. Highs near 30 with lows in the mid 10s. Snow chances return late Sunday night.
