Higher Snow TotalsDecember 5th, 2013 at 12:21 pm by Pamela Gardner under Weather
According to the latest forecast models this afternoon, we are increasing the snowfall potential today through Saturday morning. Indianapolis and areas along I-70 will see 5″ to 9″ of snow. The models are in agreement in the track of the snowfall, putting everything farther north. That’s why we upped the totals around Lafayette and Kokomo to 2″ to 5″. Southern Indiana may get a boatload of snow with 9″ to a foot.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Friday night. The Winter Storm Warning for areas south of Indy will be in effect this evening through Friday night. The sleet/rain mix is already moving into central Indiana. Temperatures continue to stay steady or fall during the day. This evening the wintry mix changes to snow. Stay tuned for further updates from the Forecast 8 team.
