Freezing Drizzle Tonight & Arctic Temps All WeekDecember 8th, 2013 at 7:15 pm by Pamela Gardner under Weather
Freezing drizzle is being reported across central Indiana. Light snow is falling in northwestern Indiana. Ground temps are below freezing…so anything that falls from the sky (drizzle, rain) will freeze on contact to untreated surfaces. The freezing drizzle remains in the forecast tonight into daybreak Monday. Drier air returns late Monday morning, ending our precipitation.
A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect until 7am Monday for northeastern Indiana. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 4am Monday for the southeastern corner of the state.
Arctic air holds its grip on Indiana this week. Temperatures tonight stay steady in the mid 20s. Highs on Monday through Thursday only peak in the mid to upper 20s. Those temps are actually where we should be for our average lows. Low temps will be in the lower teens and single-digits. The extended forecast stays dry, except for Tuesday when we may get a few flurries.
