Sunday Afternoon SnowDecember 8th, 2013 at 12:51 pm by Pamela Gardner under Weather
Light snow & flurries continue to fall all over the state. As temperatures warm this afternoon we will see the snow change to more of a wintry mix. Freezing drizzle is a concern tonight into daybreak Monday. Snow accumulation will only be under half an inch through today. A glaze of ice may develop tonight from the freezing drizzle.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for the southeastern corner of the state until 4am Monday. Travel may be difficult in those areas due to ice accumulation tonight and reduced visibility from blowing snow.
Temperatures are in the 20s now. A strong breeze also keeps things very uncomfortable today. Temps stay steady for this afternoon, then slowly rise later this evening. That will allow for the snow to change to a wintry mix.
