Accumulating snow expected on Saturday

Snowfall Forecast

Ready for more snow? A wintry system will likely bring accumulating snow on Saturday to most of central Indiana. Temperatures will remain cold and below-normal through next week.


Overnight low temperatures won’t be quite as cold as last night, but low teens are possible with a few isolated single-digits overnight. Mostly clear skies will continue with a few clouds by morning.


Sunshine will start the day and continue through midday. This will help to warm temps up to near 30 by afternoon. Clouds will increase through the evening and light snow could start to move in by midnight. Snow is expected to overspread most of the area overnight and continue through Saturday.

Snowfall Forecast

Snow likely for the first half of the day, with snow tapering off through the afternoon. Accumulations of 2 to 5″ are possible, with a few isolated 6″+ spots south of Indianapolis. Highs near freezing. Temperatures drop into the 10s late Saturday night. Winds will be breezy late..


Breezy and cold. Highs in the mid 20s with winds 10 to 20 mph. Partly cloudy. Flurries may be possible north of Indy. Lows in the 10s.

Next week:
Flurries are possible on Monday, but partly cloudy skies are expected most of the week.  Highs will remain in the 30s with lows in the 10s and 20s. Another large wintry system may impact Indiana by Friday of next week.
