Temperatures are in the upper 40s and lower 50s still this evening. A light southwest breeze and the cloud cover will help trap the daytime heat. Therefore, our overnight lows won’t be quite as cold as they reach the low to mid 30s.
A stray rain shower is possible late tonight as a system from the south moves northeast. It will get close enough to central Indiana to trigger a shower or two as brushes through the southern half of the state Sunday morning. The cloud-cover from the system has already arrived.
The rain maker to our south will move away from the state by Sunday afternoon. Another system moves in from the northwest. It will bring colder air and a wintry mix for Sunday afternoon. Temps fall during the day. The mix changes to light snow showers Sunday evening. Bitter cold rules the forecast next week. High temps only reach the 20s. Another snow maker moves in around New Year’s Day.
