As we end 2013, temperatures will remain below-average, but a warm up will kick-off 2014. It won’t last long, as another shot of cold air arrives in just a couple days.
Partly cloudy and cold. Flurries north of Indy. Lows around 17.
New Years Eve:
Partly cloudy and continued col.d Highs in the upper 20s. Clouds continue into the evening. Lows in the low 20s. Temperatures will likely be in the mid to upper 20s for the stroke of midnight.
New Years Day:Slightly warmer with temperatures able to make it into the mid to upper 30s (which is very close to average for January 1). Snow chances ramp up late Wednesday night, especially in northern Indiana. Lows in the low 20s.
Rest of the week:
Temperatures drop dramatically for the remainder of the work week, with highs in the low to mid 20s and lows in the single digits and 10s.
Slightly warmer temperatures arrive with highs in the mid 30s, but a chance for wintry mix arrives late Sunday. Overnight lows will also be mild, with lows in the mid 20s.
