Foggy Start, Colder AfternoonJanuary 11th, 2014 at 6:49 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
TODAY: The good news is that rainfall totals were about 0.50″ or less in most places, so flooding should be isolated and fairly minor. Rain chances will lessen during the morning. Colder air will slowly move in later today, so we could see scattered flurries this afternoon. No accumulation is expected.
THIS EVENING: There could be a few lingering flurries. Temps will stay in the lower 30s.
OVERNIGHT: Lows will drop into the mid 20s, so watch for some possible re-freeze and the roads.
SUNDAY: Milder air will quickly build in, and push highs into the 40s again.
8-DAY FORECAST: It will be a see-saw battle, as pockets of cold air and mild air will swing through this week. Right now, it does not look like any major winter weather systems will swing through, but we could see snow showers Tuesday, then some flurries Wednesday and Friday.
