Small Waves Of SnowJanuary 15th, 2014 at 5:52 am by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Light snow continues to fall this morning and we could pick up a dusting of accumulation. The roads may get slick with the minor accumulation. The flurries taper off this afternoon but the clouds hang around.
Temps right now are in the lower 20s and with a breeze it feels like the teens in many spots. Temps don’t warm up much, reaching the mid 20s. A wind sticks around from the northwest and will gust up to 25 mph…just adding to the chill today. Lows tonight dip into the upper teens and lower 20s.
We have another clipper system in the forecast that will move through 7am through 7pm Thursday. By Thursday evening we could get 1″ to 2″ of accumulation. Temperatures hover around the freezing mark and we could see a brief period of a wintry mix, but temps for a majority of this system will be cold enough for the snow to accumulate. It will be good packing snow since it will be wet and heavy.
Temps go up and down throughout the 8-day forecast. Another round of snow is possible Friday and temps dip to the mid 20s. Saturday we have a chance for light snow with temps up into the lower 30s. Sunday into Monday a little warm-up kicks in as drier air returns to the state.
