The snow is already moving into the northern and western parts of the state. The snow showers spread across the state during the morning commute.
The heaviest snowfall for Indianapolis will be between 9am and 3pm. A brief period of rain may mix in with the snow later this afternoon/evening as temps hover around the freezing mark. We anticipate 1″ to 2″ of accumulation by this evening with isolated spots getting 3″.
Temperatures right now are in the lower 20s. This afternoon our temps will be right around 32º. Colder air takes over tonight as lows dip into the single-digits and lower teens.
More snow is possible overnight with a dusting of accumulation. Another round of snow is possible Friday afternoon with less than an inch of accumulation. High temps Friday only peak in the upper teens and lower 20s.
Our temperature fluctuations continue in the extended forecast. Saturday, another chance for minor snow accumulation and highs in the lower 30s. Drier air for Sunday with highs in the upper 20s. Monday is the warmest day with a high of 35º. Temps go way down Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the teens and overnight lows around 0º.
