Accumulating snow expected Saturday

Sick of winter yet? Well, even more snow and cold air is on the way, so be prepared for another wintry week ahead.

Timeline 1

Very cold. Lows in the single-digits. A flurry is possible, but little or no accumulation is expected overnight.

Timeline 2

Saturday Morning:
A break before the snow arrives, with partly cloudy skies. Even a little sunshine will be possible. Temperatures will remain cold, but could gradually warm before daybreak and through the day.

Timeline 3

Saturday Afternoon:
Snow arrives after 2pm and continues through most of the afternoon. Highs in the upper 20s to near 30. Snow becomes heaviest around sunset.

Timeline 4

Saturday evening:
Snow continues through the evening and is likely to accumulate. Snowfall totals of 2″ to 4″ is possible. Snow will end by midnight. Lows near 20 degrees.

Sunday and Monday:
A break from the “Clipper train” that has been bringing us off-an-on snow chances this past week. Partly cloudy skies are expected with highs in the low 30s. Lows will be mild Sunday night, but very cold Monday night.


Next week:
Extremely cold air returns to central Indiana with highs in the mid 10s with lows near 0. Flurries or brief snow showers are possible from Tuesday through the end of the week.
