Bitterly Cold This WeekJanuary 19th, 2014 at 7:07 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
We are milder right now compared to this time yesterday. Temps are in the upper 20s and lower 30s. The wind is still strong from the southwest between 10 to 20 mph. The wind stays strong overnight with gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures fall to the mid 20s…cold enough to see icy roads from the melted snow that refreezes.
Highs on Monday peak in the low to mid 30s. This will be the warmest day of the next 8 days. Arctic air takes over by daybreak Tuesday & Wednesday. Highs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday reach the lower teens. Overnight lows will be below zero.
Snow is also in the forecast this week. Monday night into daybreak Tuesday we have snow showers that may give us 0.5″ to 1.5″ of accumulation. More waves of snow pass through Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
