Coldest Night Of This WeekJanuary 23rd, 2014 at 6:08 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Temps only reached the single-digits this afternoon so we don’t have far to fall to get dangerously cold overnight. Lows reach subzero levels tonight. The wind will stay strong between 10 and 20 mph from the west. This creates more blowing snow and bitter wind chill temps.
A wind chill advisory continues until noon Friday. Friday’s highs reach the upper teens. Some sunshine continues for Friday but then the clouds increase in the afternoon and the wind stays strong, gusting up to 35 mph.
Snow chances are back for the weekend. One round hits between midnight and 7am Saturday. The second hits Sunday afternoon. On Saturday we could get 2″ to 4″ of snow along I-70 and points north. Isolated locations may get over 4″ of snow in northern Indiana. Southwestern Indiana will get a little less…1″ to 3″ of snow.
Temperatures this weekend increase a bit. Saturday’s highs reach the mid 20s. Sunday’s highs get closer to freezing…but won’t quite make the mark. Another arctic blast hits us next week. Highs in the single-digits and lows way below zero.
