Winter Storm Warning Through Monday AMMarch 1st, 2014 at 6:52 pm by Pamela Gardner under Colts Forecast, Weather
Snow totals: Indianapolis will get 4″ to 8″ of snow accumulation by daybreak Monday. More sleet may mix in with the snow in southern Indiana, but will still see 4″ to 8″ of snow. Northern Indiana will get 2″ to 4″ of snow. A winter storm warning is posted for central Indiana until 7am Monday. Northern Indiana has a winter weather advisory until 1am Monday.
Timing: The snow is to the north of Indiana for now, but that line of snow sags southward this evening and tonight. First we will see some sleet mixing into the snow as temps fall. Then all snow overnight into Sunday afternoon. Snow showers remain in our forecast Sunday night. By daybreak Monday the snow should be out of the state.
Temperatures: Northwestern Indiana has temps in the 20s. Southeastern Indiana has temps in the 40s. Colder air funnels in this evening and we reach overnight lows in the upper teens and lower 20s. Highs tomorrow will be at or below freezing.
Extended forecast: Colder temps take over for through mid-week. We reach the 40s by the end of next week.
