Temps dropping into the single-digits

Temperatures continue to drop this evening and some locations have already dropped into the single digits.

Current conditions for most of central Indiana include clear skies and winds that are becoming light. A light north wind continues, but in locations where that wind becomes calm, temperatures will likely drop quickly as cold air settles near the surface.

Lows are expected to be in the single digits again for tonight, with some locations getting very close to 0.

The record low temperatures at Indianapolis is 2 degrees. Our forecast calls for 5 degrees, but it’s possible we could drop to 2 before daybreak.
