Chilly Start, A Bit Milder Later Today

BUS STOP: Most kids will see temps in the single digits this morning, and wind chill values near or below zero.

REST OF TODAY: The core of the latest cold spell will begin to relax a bit.  This means we will improve from the upper teens that we saw yesterday, and reach the upper 20s to around 30 later today with decent amount of sunshine mixing with clouds.  There may be a few flurries in extreme northern Indiana.

THIS EVENING:  If you are going to be out this evening, temps will be cool, but not quite as cold as last evening.  We will be in the low to mid 20s for most of the evening, and it should be dry.

NOT AS COLD TONIGHT:  Lows will still be plenty cold, but not as cold as this morning!  Expect numbers in the mid teens.

SLIGHTLY MILDER WEDNESDAY: We will see the slow warming trend continue on Wednesday.  Highs will get near or slightly above freezing.

8-DAY FORECAST…OVERALL MILDER, SOME BUMPS IN THE ROAD: There will be a weak clipper slide through the state Wednesday night into Thursday morning.  There may be another weak system for the weekend (tradition, it seems like, right?).  Other than that, the bitter cold will go away for awhile, but most temps will be below normal through the middle of next week.
