Cold night ahead, before a weekend warm up

Snow totals from this morning’s system were impressive to the north, but most of the snow melted as quickly as it arrives for the metro area.

Temperatures will drop overnight and make for a cold Thursday, but warmer temperatures are on the way. The forecast looks dry overall through early next week.


Clearing and colder. Lows in the mid 10s.


Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30s. Some clouds build during the afternoon. Lows stay mild in the low 30s.

Much warmer with partly cloudy skies. Highs in the mid 50s with lows in the mid 30s.

Saturday will see highs staying in the 50s under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures drop on Sunday with highs only in the 30s and more clouds return. Some light showers could be possible in southern Indiana.


Next week:Temperatures begin a warming trend again with partly cloudy skies. Highs reach the 60s by Wednesday as another weak system with light rain arrives late Wednesday night.
