RIGHT NOW: Several bands of snow continue to pinwheel through central Indiana. Once you get west of Lafayette and Crawfordsville, most of the snow tapers off. Most of the snow will wind down in the Indy metro area by 1pm, then 4pm-ish for East and SE Indiana.
WHAT IS HAPPENING: We have had pretty impressive snow falling from the sky. Areas to the north have gotten several inches of snow, but the warm ground has melted at least some of that snow. The warm ground and pavement has also melted a good chunk of the snow in central Indiana. Snowfall totals will stay in the 1″-3″ range for most areas along and north of I-70. Little or no accumulation in areas to the south of Indianapolis. Northern Indiana has seen the bulk of the snow with Ft. Wayne getting 5.5″ of snow.
