Mid-Morning Winter Weather UpdateMarch 12th, 2014 at 9:17 am by Ken Brewer under Weather
RIGHT NOW: Rain is changing to a mix or snow depending on location. A band of light to moderate snow is moving into Indianapolis and through western Indiana. This burst will have blowing snow causing reduced visibility, and cause very slick roads.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN FOR THE REST OF THE DAY: The wind will stay very gusty through late afternoon with gusts up to and over 40 miles per hour. Snow should wind down from NW to SE. NW areas will see snow wind down around 11am, central Indiana around Noon-1pm, SE Indiana around 2-4 pm.
FINAL SNOW TOTALS: No changes here, most of the Indianapolis metro area will be in the 1″-3″ range, under 1″ south and 3″-6″ far northern parts of our area.
